Politicians should be forced to retire at 65 and be barred from further serving in government. Furthermore Congressional members as well as the President and vice president should be required to have a Law Degree and license to practice law. This would stop ridiculous unqualified people from running and the crazy antics we see in US government. Sadly it would require a constitutional amendment to do so.

The fact is we see the problems of the world today caused by 70 year old leaders who have lost cognition. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) had a 68 year old retirement requirement but Xi Jinping found a way to exclude himself. The people of Turkey want to enact a 65 retirement and max service of 8 years with a ban to serving in government also regardless of age. Putin is 70 and is the classic stubborn and stupid person who cannot see it is he who is wrecking his own country also with lies and propaganda mistaking what is International law as is Xi Jinping.

At 55 to 60 mental decline begins and good judgment begins to wane, but by 65 good sense is usually gone. Donald Trump and Diane Feinstein is a good example, and Nancy Pelosi was speaker so long she began to amass enemies by time alone, and though she did not look it maybe was 82 years old when she stepped down as speaker.

Frankly President Biden is handling the Ukraine war too slow and cautiously making it far more expensive in equipment and ammunition and in terms of lives and damage and destruction to Ukraine. That is a frightened elderly man.
